The Cambridge Climbing Centre is a state-of-the-art climbing wall boasting a 200m² climbing surface area and featuring a huge variety of angles and shapes, including a 40 degree overhanging barrel, arch and multi-faceted features. Our wall is predominately a bouldering wall, which does not require a safety harness or rope.
The Centre is also equipped with full training facilities including a campus board, pull up bar and finger boards. The existing sprayed concrete climbing wall has now been replaced by an Entre-Prises texture coated, multi-faceted, wood panelled ‘Mozaik’ climbing system that offers considerably much better route setting opportunities than before. This new section of wall has been equipped with 4 new top-rope anchors. The wall now has 1600 bolt-on holds and regular route-setting take place every 6 weeks, this will be headed up by some of the country’s top route-setters. The Cambridge Climbing Centre provides climbers in the East of England with a modern, first rate facility in which to climb, train and have fun!

Please note the climbing wall will be closed at the following times:-
- Tuesday 17th, 24th & 31st May, 9am-5pm for essential maintenance
- Monday 8th & Tuesday 9th August, 9am-11pm and Wednesday 10th August, 9am-2pm for route setting
Individuals must be registered to use the Climbing Wall unsupervised and undergo an induction on their first visit. Registered climbers may supervise a maximum of two children under 16/novice climbers as long as they are prepared to take full responsibility for their safety.

The correct Registration Form needs to be completed at Reception after undergoing the induction. Registration Forms are also available from Reception.
PLEASE NOTE; No booking is required for the induction, staff are available at all times, just turn up and report to Reception. There is no cost to register.
Please note we do not hire out rock climbing equipment e.g. shoes or harnesses. Our Climbing Wall is mainly a bouldering wall. Bouldering is a style of rock climbing undertaken without a rope and normally limits you to short climbs over a bouldering mat/soft flooring on a wall no higher than 4.5 metres.
